Former GTA Dev Says GTA 6 Leaks Aren’t A Big Deal

GTA 6 Leaks

According to a former Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas developer, the sensitive game leaks of GTA 6, including the gameplay images and videos, weren’t a big deal, and that’s because the Rockstar is extremely secretive. It was one of the biggest data breaches in history when the hackers infiltrated Rockstar’s GTA 6 servers and secured about 90 minutes of data. The gaming community was in great turmoil, and many people were too empathetic to not judge them merely on leaks.

However, Obbe Vermeij, a prominent figure who is infamous for his dedication as a technical director in almost all GTA games, had different a response to the questions about GTA 6 leaks. He started by highlighting the importance of the leaks, saying “Leaks are not as much of a big deal as people believe. The leaks were only important to fans. It’s because millions of people are waiting for any news and Rockstar just doesn’t give them any.” This conversation took place on the SanInPlay YouTube channel, a renowned GTA games content creator.

Rockstar’s Secrecy is Necessary Despite The GTA 6 Leaks

Obbe Vermeij further spoke about the necessity of powerhouses like Rockstar Games to stay quiet. Whenever a massive company says anything, it gets analyzed and most often it runs negatively.

Whether it is Rockstar Games or Ubisoft, they opt to stay silent about their upcoming projects until the time comes. While many think it’s a shameful act, they don’t have another way, it’s not their fault.

While Obbe Vermeij doesn’t have an intimate connection with the Rockstar as both have separated ways, he predicts there would be little to no difference in GTA 6 and GTA 5 in terms of visuals and realism in mechanics. The game might be a disappointment.

What do you think of Vermeij’s perception of GTA 6 leaks, will it be the greatest game of all time? Let us know in the comments.
