LEGO Party Locks Switch Release Date—New Trailer Teases 60 Wild Minigames

LEGO Party Switch Release Confirmed

After teasing us earlier this year, Fictions and SMG Studio have finally pinned down a date. LEGO Party will arrive on Nintendo Switch on September 30, 2025. It’s a relief to move past that vague “sometime in 2025” tag, right?

What We Know So Far

The game first popped onto our radar in June and instantly struck us as… different. Unlike your typical mini-game collection, LEGO Party leans into the creativity of its namesake bricks. It’s a 4-player party romp loaded with 60 minigames ripped straight from iconic themes—think LEGO Pirates swinging from ropes, star-hopping through LEGO Space, or battling Senseis in LEGO NINJAGO. And yes, you can still chuck a roast turkey if you really want to.

You’ll have two main ways to play: gather around the couch for local chaos or link up online, no matter what platform your friends are on. Cross-platform shenanigans were almost mandatory by now, but it’s nice to see another party game embrace it so wholeheartedly.

Short sessions or marathon nights? It’s up to you. Going solo feels surprisingly roomy, thanks to customizable bots and unlockable minifigures. But best bets usually involve real humans, because AI opponents rarely deliver the satisfying rage-quit.

Key Features

  • Couch and cross-platform online multiplayer for up to 4 players
  • 60 wildly varied minigames, from Rally Races to collapsing tomb runs
  • Golden Bricks are up for grabs—use power-ups, saboteur traps, and wily strategies
  • Over a billion minifigure combinations to craft your ideal party avatar

Why We’re Intrigued

Sure, the party-game space is crowded. Yet LEGO Party has that trademark brick charm that could tip the scales. Those Challenge Zones promise more than the usual board-game shuffle: picture sliding down a pirate ship’s plank while dodging cannonballs or dancing your way out of a malfunctioning robot disco. It seems a bit bonkers. But aren’t those the moments you remember?

There’s still plenty we don’t know. Will LEGO Party nail the balance between randomness and skill? How deep are the online lobbies? Are the servers stable enough to handle an alien-cooking race gone off the rails? We’ll find out in just over a month.

Mark your calendars for September 30, 2025. Then rally your friends for what might become the ultimate brick-built party night.
