The best of 2015 video games

Another year has passed, with new, exciting, refreshing sequels and original video games. 2015 was a great year for gaming according to many big names, with some of the most awaited releases of the decade. New Metal Gear Solid, Fallout, and Halo games have been released this year. Here are some recommendations for the best of 2015 video games.

1.  Bloodborne

FromSoftware’s Bloodborne is a role-playing action game released by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was published on March 24, 2015, for the PS4. Bloodborne was nominated for The Game Awards 2015 video games.

2. Destiny: The Taken King

Bungie’s first-person shooter Destiny gets a big expansion in Destiny: The Taken King. Destiny’s third expansion was released on September 15, 2015, for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. It was nominated for The Game Award for Best Multiplayer Game and Best Shooter Game.

3. Batman: Arkham Knight

Batman: Arkham Knight is an action-adventure game published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developed by Rocksteady Studios. It is the fourth main entry in the Batman: Arkham series, based on the DC Comics superhero Batman. On June 23, 2015, it was launched for PC PS4 and Xbox One.

4. Downwell

Downwell is a roguelike with the features of a vertically scrolling shooter. Ojiro Fumoto created the game, released on October 15, 2015, by Devolver Digital for iOS and Windows. Downwell won the TouchArcade ceremony in the Game of the Category eek in 2015. It also won the award of Best Action Game of the year 2015 in the ceremony of Pocket Tactics.

5. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is a stealth game released in 2015 by Konami and developed by Kojima Productions. On September 1, 2015, it was published globally for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. It was nominated for The Game Awards 2015 video games and won that award.

6. Fallout 4

Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks released Fallout 4. It is a single-player and action role-playing game published on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 10, 2015. It was nominated for the D.I.C.E Awards – Game of the Year.

7. Her Story

Sam Barlow wrote and directed Her Story, an interactive film and video game. It was first launched for PC, Mac OS X, and iOS on June 24, 2015, and then on Android the following year. Her Story was nominated for The Game Award for Best Narrative 2015.

8. Kerbal Space Program

Kerbal Space Program is a Mexican developer Squad’s space flight simulation video game. On April 7, 2015, Private Division released it for PC, macOS, and Linux.

9. Rocket League

Psyonix has created and distributed Rocket League, a vehicular soccer video game. On July 7, 2015, the game was launched for PC and PS4, with Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions following shortly. It was nominated for BAFTA Games Award for Evolving 2015 video games.

10. Splatoon

Splatoon is a Nintendo developed and third-person shooter video game created by Hisashi Nogami. It was published on May 28, 2015, on the Wii U. Splatoon was nominated for The Game Award for Best Multiplayer Game and The Game Award for Best Shooter.

11. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an action role-playing game created by CD Projekt Red, a Polish studio. It is the sequel to The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, released in 2011. On May 19, 2015, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It was nominated for The Game Award for Game of the Year and Best Role Playing 2015 video games.

12. Jotun

Thunder Lotus Games, a Canadian firm, created Jotun, an action-adventure video game. On September 29, 2015, it was launched for PC, macOS, and Linux.

13. Sunless Sea

Failbetter Games’ Sunless Sea is a survival role-playing video game. The game has roguelike elements and was launched on February 6, 2015, for PC and OS X.

14. Mortal Kombat X

Mortal Kombat X is a fighting video game for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. This game was released on April 7, 2015, by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and developed by NetherRealm Studios. It was nominated for The Game Award for Best Fighting 2015 video games.

15. Lovers In A Dangerous Spacetime

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a space shooter video game. It was released on September 9, 2015, for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Linux, Nintendo Switch, and OS X, created by Asteroid Base.

16. Xenoblade Chronicles X

Xenoblade Chronicles X is an action role-playing video game for the Wii U system. It was developed by Monolith Soft and published by Nintendo on April 29, 2015.

17. Halo 5: Guardians

Halo 5: Guardians is a shooter video game by 343 Industries and Microsoft Studios. On October 27, 2015, it was released globally for the Xbox One. The game’s storyline follows two fireteams of human supersoldiers: Master Chief’s Blue Team and Spartan Locke’s Fireteam Osiris.

18. Super Mario Maker

Nintendo’s Super Mario Maker is a side-scrolling platform game and game development system for the Wii U. It was released globally on September 12, 2015. Gamers may build and play custom courses based on Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World, and New Super Mario Bros. U and download and play courses by other players.

19. Darkest Dungeon

Red Hook Studios created and released Darkest Dungeon, a role-playing video game. Following a year of early access development, the game was launched on February 3, 2015, for PC and OS X.

20. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

Ubisoft Quebec produced and released Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, an action-adventure video game. It was published for PS4 and Xbox One on October 23, 2015, and for PC on November 19, 2015. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate was nominated for The Game Award for Best Action/Adventure.
