Apparently, Ubisoft plans to go next gen with their popular Prince of Persia franchise as a new leaked image from the official Persia forums seems to prove.
The image which can be seen above, was leaked without any information and has all the proofs to make us thing that we’re indeed talking about a new Persia game: the setting seems to be somewhere in the Middle East and there is information on the image: the source file is POP_ZERO_2 which can easily be translated as Prince of Persia Zero.
We don’t know yet if this will be the actual name of the game – Persia Zero seems more of an early stage of development for the yet unnamed game – but it surely proves that Ubisoft is working on a new game in the Prince of Persia universe. And it will use DirectX 11 and will look amazing.
The leak comes a while after another video footage screenshot was leaked from something that was supposed to be the next Prince of Persia game:
As you can see in the image above, even though the quality is a lot poorer than that of today’s leaked image, the two seem very similar. So, Ubisoft, let us know more about this upcoming Prince of Persia game!
It’s not a huge surprise to hear that EA is planning a new Army of Two game, but it’s always nice to know more about a video game you knew was coming sooner or later. So right now we have official word that Electronic Arts will release Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel sometime in March 2013 – and the first juicy details, as well as a video are available.
The game will introduce two new characters, Alpha and Bravo who find themselves in Mexico, in the middle of a drug war conflict for an assignment full of corruption and deceit. Expect super intense gameplay and the classic 2 player co-op modes, either played online or in the split screen mode.
“We wanted to refresh the Army of Two franchise for a new generation of action gamers, and at the same time, stay true to the core concept that really made the first two games fan favourites,” said Julian Beak, executive producer, Visceral Games. “With meaningful, seamless co-op gameplay at its core and explosive new tag-team features, gamers will have to work together tactically and strategically as they push through a city dominated by one of Mexico’s deadliest drug cartels.”
Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel is expected to hit market in March 2013 and you can check out the first video of the game below, via Game Informer.

The beta stage for the highly anticipated PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale has kicked off and there are a few lucky people who are playing the game right now. However, not everybody is welcome (yet) to play the game and getting a code for the Playstation All Stars Beta seems like a very difficult task. But I am here to help you with some tips on how to get a code for the game’s beta – or at least get a shot at scoring a code for it.
But before we start, please have in mind that codes for the Playstation All Stars Battle Royale Beta are usually given only by the developers of the game and not everybody else. Konami have released a highly anticipated demo for PES 2013 today, available both on Xbox 360 consoles as well as PCs, with the PlayStation 3 demo being scheduled for release on July 31st. And in order to celebrate the launch of the demo – which should be definitely considered a must download by everybody, the developers have also launched a new trailer featuring Cristiano Ronaldo.
PES 2013 marks major advancements for the popular soccer game including new game mechanics such as PES FullControl, where players are given total control over every pass, shot and even first touch to the ball. Similarly, Pro-Active AI ensures that players move as they should both on and off the ball, creating a true authentic soccer experience. The Player ID system then enhances the feeling of individuality, with players that not only look and move like their real life counterparts, but also play just like them.
The first demo allows users to experience these key additions first hand and features eight fully licensed teams, including Germany, England, Portugal and Italy from the European field, while Santos FC, SC International, Fluminense and Flamengo are available in the are available in the Copa Libertadores mode.
Check out the PES 2013 demo trailer featuring Cristiano Ronaldo, as you wait for the demo to be downloaded:
The full version of Pro Evolution Soccer will hit game stores this fall.
A very interesting project is in the works at Trion Worlds in collaboration with SyFy: they are planning the release of Defiance, an interconnected MMO shooter, meaning that the world and storylines will co-exist throughout a scripted drama series and a multiplatform MMO shooter. A very interesting concept and I am sure we’ll all like to give it a try!
Set in the near future, Defiance introduces an exotically transformed planet Earth, its landscapes permanently altered following the sudden – and tumultuous – arrival of seven unique alien races. In this somewhat unknown and unpredictable landscape, the richly diverse, newly-formed civilization of humans and aliens must learn to co-exist peacefully.
Each week, viewers will follow an immersive character drama set in the boom-town of Defiance, which sits atop the ruins of St. Louis, MO, while in the game, players will adventure in the new frontier of the San Francisco Bay area. The dramatic tapestry of the series and the intense action of the game will exist in a single universe where their respective narratives will inform one another and evolve together into one overall story.
Absolutely interesting and surely sounds “Sci-fi” for me, proving that real life gaming and movies can co-exist. Just imagine how it would be to kill a character from the movie, in the game, and have it out of the show or something. That is pure madness!
oth the series and the game will debut simultaneously in April 2013 and the series is executive produced by Kevin Murphy (Desperate Housewives, Caprica; Hellcats) & Michael Taylor (Battlestar Galactica), so we have all the reasons to be excited.
