We’re finally on the cusp of Lost Skies 1.0. When Early Access wraps on September 17th, Bossa Games is promising a fresh experience: a total progress wipe that has me both anxious and excited. Starting anew with up to five friends or flying solo feels like the ultimate reset—what could go wrong?
Fresh Skies on Steam
The Outskirts region you know will be stretched into three distinct zones, and an all-new Midlands area is on the horizon. That means roughly thirty islands to chart, each harboring its own Herald boss. Storm walls and other weather barriers promise to keep us guessing. Honestly, I’ve barely scratched the surface in Early Access, so I can’t wait to tussle with Thornets and Harpies—though ‘tussle’ might be an understatement, considering my ship has been shredded more times than I care to admit.
What’s New in 1.0?
- New weather barriers: brace for storm walls
- Arbiter bosses: more sky combat, please
- Fresh ship parts, resources, crafting recipes
- Community islands via Island Creator tools
Console Horizons
In a move everyone saw coming, Lost Skies is also heading to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Bossa’s studio head Anthony Kyne hints there’s more to share soon. Not much else to report yet, but my hype meter is definitely off the charts.
