No Man’s Sky is a massive game where you can travel an almost infinite universe. You can visit different planets, gather materials, and build bases. The game is celebrated for its gorgeous graphics and for providing so much freedom to players. I play this game the most because it makes me feel like I’m actually in space. You have the option to play alone or with friends, and there’s always more to discover.
Elite Dangerous
Elite Dangerous is a space simulation game where you make your own story, travel, and claim territories in a realistic galaxy with an evolving, player-driven narrative. You can trade goods, fight pirates, or explore stars far away. It has a difficult learning curve, but oh man, is it so satisfying after you get it. I think it’s great for anyone who wants to play a massive, incredibly serious space game.
Star Wars: Squadrons
Do you enjoy Star Wars? This is a game that allows you to pilot some of the most iconic starfighters in the movies. It’s all about dogfights in space, with fast combat and team play. The controls are very simple to learn, and the story mode is fun. I find it thrilling to fly ships like the X-wing and TIE fighter.
Kerbal Space Program
Kerbal Space Program is a unique game where you build rockets and send them into space. The point is to go exploring in space while learning about real physics. It’s educational and fun too. You create your own spacecraft and try to land on planets. This is the game to play if you want to have fun while understanding space travel.
EVE Online
EVE Online is a space-based massively multiplayer online game (MMOG). Players can mine resources, trade, fight in massive battles, or forge alliances. It has a complex economy and politics, which is very fascinating for strategy and teamwork players. I don’t play it much, but I understand it features one of the most complex space societies in gaming.

Starbound is a 2D adventure game set in space where you explore new planets, battle monsters, and build your own home among the stars. The game is well designed, and there is lots of content to uncover. It’s easy to get into and perfect for players who like to explore and be creative.
FTL: Faster Than Light
In FTL, you are controlling a spaceship’s crew as you try to save the galaxy. It’s in real-time with pause, so you’re doing things like sending repair units across your ship and managing systems while you battle. It’s hard, but really rewarding. I like how every choice counts and how it keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Mass Effect Legendary Edition
This is a collection of the epic Mass Effect trilogy. It is a story-driven game that includes space exploration, combat and heavy character narratives. You are Commander Shepard, on a mission to save the galaxy from an imposing threat. I believe it’s one of the best stories in space games, and I like the combo of action and role-playing.
Homeworld Remastered Collection
Homeworld is a captivating real-time strategy game that revolutionizes the genre of space games. You command a squadron of warships and engage in epic 3D space battles. This remastered version with better graphics and sound. It’s ideal for players who enjoy tactical combat and space strategy. I’d say it’s a must-play for fans of old-school space games.
Outer Wilds
Outer Wilds is an exploration game in which you explore a tiny solar system that’s stuck in a time loop. The game involves exploration and resolving puzzles. It has a unique story and atmosphere. I thought it was really calming and thought-provoking, unlike most space games, which are usually shooters.
Starburst Slot Game
Starburst is a popular space themed online slot game. Gameplay is straightforward with five reels and ten paylines which pay both ways. The biggest feature is the expanding wild star that can fill an entire reel and cause the reels to respin for extra winning opportunities. Space games are available for all sorts of genres, from action and strategy to roleplaying and simulation. I love space games that allow me to explore and learn, like No Man’s Sky and Kerbal Space Program.
