When you are at two hearts with him, a cutscene will trigger in which he checks up on you. He is a dedicated worker who wants to deliver the best care. He does so by taking your pulse, listening with his stethoscope over your lungs doing his routine exam. The nerves are there in Harvey, but yet — you take some comfort knowing that the focus is as well. This event speaks to his dedication of health and wellness that he enjoys from his work as a caretaker.
You will get to know Doctor Harvey giving you a sneak peak at his hardworking doctor side and it is all business. He really cares about the townsfolk, and it is soon revealed to us that this was no mere job for him; he sees his profession as a high calling.
Four-Heart Event: Radio Hobby
Trigger: Enter Harvey’s room in the clinic.
Players who reach four hearts will see Harvey take them to his private quarters in a cutscene for the first time. When you step inside, however, it’s revealed that Harvey has an interest in ham radios. He will show you his radio equipment, and tell you about how he wants to fly in a hot air balloon. The event is proof of Harvey being a closeted adventurer, someone who dreams to see the world even though he may never leave Pelican Town.
Harvey has a love of flying. And this really endears him to the reader and gives us much more insight into his character. This moment exemplifies the disparity between his naturalist base and longing to turn out excitedly.
Six-Heart Event: The Aerobics Class
Trigger: Visit Pierre’s General Store on a Tuesday.
You can catch bits of Harvey at the ladies aerobics class in Pierre’s 6 heart event. The scene is humorous as Harvey tries to follow along with the exercises, though it’s clear he’s out of his element. Harvey wraps up the class by announcing that he is here to do something for his body. He proves just how seriously he takes living well.
I like this moment because it shows Harvey is not overconfident and is prepared to leave his comforts. It feels kind of awkward, but that’s what makes him very relatable and endearing for players. But, Harvey is humble enough to wear his heart on his sleeve and he truly tries which we respect.
Eight-Heart Event: The Hot Air Balloon Ride
Trigger: Visit the railroad area on a sunny day.
One of the more memorable events with Harvey comes when you reach 8 hearts and take a hot air balloon ride. Elated but nervous, he tells you how important it is to him that he gets to do this with you. Harvey reveals his shyness and fear of heights here. But he also finds the courage to embark on the adventure because of his feelings for you.
It’s a touching moment that will let players sympathize with Harvey. And enter his heart as he confronts horrors to make a memorable moment. This journey represents the possibilities that Harvey can have if he will take some chances and share his life with others.
Ten-Heart Event: Confession of Love
Trigger: Receive a letter from Harvey and then catch up with him at the railroad.
After you have 10 hearts with him, Harvey will send you a letter asking to meet at the railroad. Harvey declared his love here and what he was missing in life outside of work. He thanks you for giving him the courage to follow his dreams and be true to himself because he met you.
The experience the event provides really is one of Harvey’s most poignant moments. This can be incredibly satisfying for players who have gone through Harvey’s storyline to get him to this point. You would naturally feel that all your interactions with him were both important and worth the while.

Harvey still shows that gentle side post-marriage. Well, this is where you can see that he was a doctor given how often health and wellness comes up. He might help with the farm, he can sometimes do some favors for you and also even make breakfast. When we talk to Harvey about any of this, he reveals an ongoing fondness for airplanes.
