The Walking Dead: Amid The Ruins Out Next Week, New Trailer

Walking Dead

It’s that time of the year again. Telltale Games has revealed the first and probably last trailer for Amid The Ruins, the fourth of five episodes in The Walking Dead Season 2.

“Free of their brutal captor, the group resumes their journey north. But hunger, violence and death have taken their toll. Simmering conflicts and inevitable changes within the group remind Clementine that danger can come from within, as well as without; she must choose her allies carefully in this penultimate episode of The Walking Dead Season 2.”

As with every installment of it, there are bound to be tough choices, dramatic climaxes and a whole lot of zombie killing.

Amid The Ruins releases on July 22nd for PS3, PS Vita, PC, and Mac in North America, and July 23rd for Xbox 360, PS Vita, PS3 in Europe.

Wolf Among Us: Cry Wolf Gets A Release Date, First Trailer

Cry Wolf

Wolf Among Us: Cry Wolf Gets A Release Date, First TrailerTelltale Games finale of the wonderfully bleak The Wolf Among Us has been given an official release date and trailer. Cry Wolf is set to release on July 8th for PC and PS3, and July 9th for Xbox 360 and iOS.

The Wolf Among Us has had it’s ups and downs, but consistency aside, the game remains as thrilling as it is emotional, and I am surely not the only person that has been anticipating this chapter more than any other.

Below is the first trailer detailing a few of the events that may take place.

If the trailer isn’t enough, Telltale has supplied two screenshots for you to gawk at.

Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Gets New Trailer, Collector’s Edition And More

Witcher

CD Projekt RED just finished their 2014 summer conference on GOG, and as usual, a plethora of new details have emerged about The Witcher 3. To start, the game has received an official release date of February 25 2014. The game will launch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC and will have a collector’s edition and a few pre-order bonuses.

There are multiple ways in which you can pre-order the game, all of which can be seen here.

Below is a video demonstrating what the collector’s edition will contain within.

If you aren’t one for fancy statues, the standard edition actually comes with a few goodies. It’s quite reminiscent of other, less impressive collector’s editions.

What’s more, RED released an impressive new gameplay trailer that details much of the game that until this point, we’ve not known. It is looking absolutely exhilarating.

The Wolf Among Us Episode 4 Gets First Trailer, Release Date

Wolf

Telltale Games has released the first trailer for episode 4 of The Wolf Among Us, titled “In Sheep’s Clothing”. Along with the trailer, they’ve announced that the Episode will be released on May 27 for PC and Mac, May 28 for PS3 and Xbox 360, and May 29 for iOS.

Has the Wolf met his match? Beaten and bloody, Bigby is confronted by the realization that a society built on secrets is ripe for exploitation. And that the disenfranchised of Fabletown may see his prey not as the cause of their problems, but as their solution. Constantly caught between ‘the rules’ and doing the right thing, Bigby must tread a path fraught with danger in this penultimate episode of The Wolf Among Us.

I have been enamoured by Telltale’s take on The Wolf Among Us, and if A Crooked Mile is any indication of how excellent In Sheep’s Clothing will be, we’re in for a dramatic treat.

Hellraid Coming To PS4, Xbox One

Hellraid

Techland’s previously delayed Hellraid has officially come back to the land of the living.  The game is now being developed for next-gen consoles on Techland’s Chrome Engine 6, and can be expected to release digitally in 2015.

I think it’s obvious that the game is heavily inspired by Skyrim, but its focus on co-op could make it a very unique experience if done well. My worry, like with Techland’s Dying Light, is that their track record isn’t the greatest. Their previous games have been full of bugs and unpolished mechanics that detracted from the experience, but not all hope is lost.

Here’s a trailer showing Hellraid in action:

The move to next-gen provides Techland with a myriad of opportunities to make their next releases fantastic games. Whether or not this is the case, only time will tell. I’ll remain cautiously optimistic in the meantime.

Driveclub Release Date Announced In New Trailer

Driveclub

After what seemed like forever, Playstation 4 exclusive Driveclub  has a release date. The long awaited and heavily delayed ‘social racing game’ will be released on October 7 2014 according to Sony’s official blog.

To celebrate this announcement, Sony has released a fresh trailer to not only remind everyone that exists, but that this game is worth buying.

Check out the trailer below if, for some reason, you were not already convinced that this is a game that you will have to buy:

It’s a relief to see that Driveclub still sports the ridiculously beautiful graphics that were on display at last year’s E3. In an age where pre-release footage is often not representative of the final product – I’m looking at you Dark Souls II – it’s nice to see that at least one of the heavy hitters is still a true show-stopper.

Whether Driveclub actually lives up to its promise, only time will tell, but I think it’s safe to get excited!

Dragon Age: Inquisition Gets Release Date, New Trailer

Dragon Age

EA has announced that Dragon Age: Inquisition is coming out on October 7 in North America, and October 10 in Europe. Along with this announcement comes a brand new game play trailer that details much of the plot outline and some of the more vague aspects we’ve not yet seen.

In Dragon Age: Inquisition, the expansive, beautiful world of Thedas is being torn apart by a massive, mysterious breach in the sky. Players must assume the role of the Inquisitor and lead a team of legendary heroes to uncover the truth behind the impending devastation.

Well, I’m excited. It seems like Bioware is trying to show that they’ve learned their lesson as far as Dragon Age goes. With an entirely new combat system, robust world to explore, and a plethora of characters to interact with, we can all hope that it succeeds in delivering a polished and redemptive close to the trilogy.

If all of that weren’t enough, EA also released several screenshots and the official box art for your viewing pleasure.

New Shadow of Mordor Trailer, Release Date Announced

Mordor

Monolith Productions has a new Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor trailer for your viewing pleasure.

The new trailer, titled Banished From Death, details some of the backstory of Talion, an undead ranger with wraith-like abilities.

After the exceedingly impressive reveal of Shadow of it, I’ve been itching for a new peak at the game. Despite a cliched backstory, this trailer still makes me excited to get into the boots of Talion.

Here is the trailer:

While most LOTR games have followed the canon of the books, Shadow of Mordor is the first in the long running Lord of the Rings franchise to deviate. It crafts a tale that fits nicely between The Hobbit and LOTR, giving them lots of room to create a rich experience.

Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor comes out on October 7, for PC, PS4, Xbox One and current-gen systems.
